Passage: The Gospel According to Matthew Matthew 5:38-48

In Matthew 5:38–48, Jesus teaches His followers to refuse revenge, return love, and reflect the character of their heavenly Father. Rather than retaliating when we are wronged, Christians are called to forgive, pray for their enemies, and respond with the same grace and mercy God has shown us in Christ.
