2022 Annual Church Conference

Notes

Dear OFBC Family,

I truly love the theme of this church conference marking the end of our 2022 year; Many Voices. Nothing could more accurately describe the many ministries of OFBC over the past year. Without a doubt, it has been a united effort as we have all pulled together to accomplish good and great things for the glory of God. We have started new ministries, welcomed new staff, added new members, and experienced powerful and pertinent worship together. Our many voices have come together as one choir singing beautiful harmony the glory of our great Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

As you will see in the pages of this booklet, Old Fort Baptist Church stood together in following the leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ and found ways to continue fulfilling our mission to share Good News throughout the year. Similarly, we have remained committed to our values of Biblical Truth, Missional Living, & Vital Connections. Our unity and resolve have remained strong as we have worked together with God’s help to stand against the odds in continuing to be salt and light for this community.

Once again I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul when writing to the church at Philippi:

“I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you, always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer, because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now. I am sure of this, that He who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I have you in my heart, and you are all partners with me in grace.” Phil. 1:3-7

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you all for your continued support of God’s work here at Old Fort. It is my joy and privilege to partner with you throughout this journey. None of us can pretend to know how 2023 will unfold, but we do know that our God is sovereign over all things, and we have each other to lean on when things get tough. Knowing this, I am looking forward to another great year as our Father “carries it on to completion” for His glory and our good. Many voices, one song.

I love you all,

Eric
