At our April 12th church family meeting, the elder body announced an upcoming update to the OFBC Bylaws. After extensive research, discussion, and valuable input from the South Carolina Baptist Convention, we are officially beginning this process.
We value your input and want to ensure everyone has ample time to review these updates. We have divided the review process into two upcoming family meetings:
- Meeting 1: Sunday, July 12 at 5:00 PM — We will review the Preamble, the Statement of Faith, and Bylaws 1–6.
- Meeting 2: Sunday, October 4 at 5:00 PM — We will review the remainder of the new bylaws.

A PDF containing the current proposed updates has been linked below. Please read through this information and email any questions to by Wednesday, July 8, for discussion on July 12th. If you prefer a physical copy, please print the attachment at home or stop by the church office during regular hours.
Following these discussion periods, the covenant body will officially vote on the adoption of the new bylaws at our annual church conference in December.
