Greater Things Giant Yard Sale

Help support Greater Things After-school ministry.

Friday, May 5 & Saturday, May 6

Greater Things after-school program is having a giant yard sale on Friday night, May 5th ($5 at the door gets you early-bird purchasing between 5-6:30 p.m.) Saturday morning, May 5th, we will be in the Ed 1 parking lot from 8am - noon!

We need your help, OFBC! Please go through your closets and donate items to our yard sale. 100% of the money goes toward Greater Things projects for the children. We accept all items except encyclopedias. “One man’s junk is another man’s treasure!” Please bring your items to Ed 1 building (Greater Things) by anytime between now and May 4th .   

And make sure you show up at the yard sale to purchase all the other treasures!

Susan McDonald

Susan McDonald began serving Old Fort Baptist Church in August, 2022, as Director of the Greater Things after-school program.  Susan and her husband, David, were both born and raised in KY (Go, Wildcats!) and moved to Charleston from right outside of Pittsburgh, Pa in 2019 to be near their son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.  Their older son went home to be with Jesus in 2012.  Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a Masters of Arts degree in Inclusive Education from Seton Hill University, and a Masters of Science degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.  Susan has spent the past 35 years teaching middle and high school, serving in administration as both a Head of School and a principal of an elementary school, and for eleven years, she worked as an English and education professor at the University of Pittsburgh.  Susan’s biggest desire is to know and serve Christ more today than she did yesterday!  She reads like a wolf eats: voraciously, hungrily, and constantly.
