Celebrating What God Has Done in Hungary!
What a week of seeing the faithfulness of God and the power of the Gospel at work!
Throughout the week, our mission team had the privilege of serving around 60 children and youth through camp—sharing Bible lessons, teaching English and American culture, leading crafts, music, sports, and most importantly, sharing the hope of Jesus.
And today, we are celebrating something only God can do:
Approximately 24 children and youth indicated that they prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior!
That alone is reason to rejoice!
But God was working in so many other ways, too.
Our team entered homes and heard stories of brokenness. We had conversations with people asking deep questions about God’s direction and will for their lives. The Gospel was shared with parents and families during the closing program, and we trust that seeds of truth were planted that God will continue to grow.
We were also reminded that mission trips aren’t only about what God does through us—they’re about what God does in us.
Each evening was filled with fellowship, devotion, prayer, and worship. It is incredible to watch God bring together people from different churches, generations, backgrounds, and walks of life and unite them around one mission. People who began the week as teammates quickly became family.
It was especially encouraging to watch God work through those experiencing international missions for the first time—a reminder that when we simply make ourselves available, God can use anyone, anywhere, for His glory.
Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, encouraged, sent, and served. This is what happens when God’s people say yes to the mission of Jesus.
The Gospel was shared.
Seeds were planted.
Lives were changed.
The Church was encouraged.
And Jesus was glorified.

To God be all the glory for what He has done—and for what He will continue to do in Hungary!

Praise report from the prayer requests given:
1. Endurance, safety, and health for 10 people on the team from South Carolina, along with the local church people serving at the camp. Praise God that we maintained health and safety and endured through all of the travel difficulties we encountered going and coming. The travel difficulties drew our diverse team together, provided opportunity to testify for His work as we encountered airline staff and other passengers, and saw God work out connections for us. Also, despite temperatures being in the 90s and the facility having no A/C, God gave us endurance!
2. Gospel conversations and testimony times with the children and young people. We know that in our class of youth, we were able to share our testimonies and provide Gospel presentations during multiple class sessions over multiple days. Also, the team leader presented the Gospel using the EvangeCube in the opening session on Friday and to family/friends at the closing event Friday afternoon after camp activities. Many children responded with interest in accepting Christ as Savior; the local church will follow up on these decisions.
3. The team's preparation and presentation of effective and engaging lessons across a wide range of subjects. Praise God for good lessons--Geoff taught American Culture and the curriculum Bible lessons on Jesus' parables; Robin taught English and VBS Bible lessons from this year's curriculum. We heard great reports from the other team members about their lessons, too.
4. For God to send students for the available 10 openings {about 60 have signed up, with a maximum enrollment of 70). To the best of our knowledge, about sixty children attended, but this continues to be a vital outreach as community parents are thankful for a safe environment for their children with the opportunity to learn/practice their English skills.
5. For opportunities to share the Gospel with the community in the evenings when we do service projects in town. Dori, the camp director, and our team leader, split the team into five groups (which also included a translator and a driver) for home visits. We could see God's planning into the team members chosen for the visits as they had particular experience and knowledge that addressed those individual home needs.
6. For the local church to build relationships with their community for future Gospel and ministry opportunities. Praise God that the local church in Balatonelle has found and purchase property on which they are planning to build. We were privileged to be able to go with some of their church members to pray over their property and prayer walk.
