Tyson Schoch

Tyson and his wife, Jeanne, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2025. They have two daughters, Jess and Lorelai. Jess is married to John Patrick, whom we call JP, and they have two children, Hampton and Sadie. Lorelai is ten and loves playing with friends, her cat Sigfried, and the beach.
Tyson holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Liberty University, with a minor in Bible, an M.A. in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Exposition from Liberty University’s School of Divinity. He is currently completing a Doctor of Ministry in Applied Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before seminary and the pastorate, Tyson was a career firefighter in the Richmond, VA area.
He has a passion for teaching, discipleship, and the local church, and his favorite book of the Bible is Matthew. Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and sports. (Go Hoos!)
