Jesus teaches that forgiveness is not something we measure or limit; it is a way of life shaped by the mercy we have received from God. In the parable of the unforgiving servant, we see that our unpayable debt has been fully forgiven in Christ, and that we must extend the same mercy to others. Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
