Fri. Aug. 1 Praise the Lord that we are finished with our leave of absence and are officially back on missionary status.

Sat. Aug. 2 Pray for safe travel as the Johnson’s head to Florida for a final family vacation.

Sun. Aug. 3 Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. We just got word that we have passed our first stage of medical clearance. Pray that the medical department will accept this and give their final approval quickly.

Mon. Aug. 4 Pray that this week will be a time of rest and relaxation for the whole family.

Tues. Aug. 5 Pray that this week will be a time of lasting memories that will tide us over while we are apart.

Wed. Aug. 6 Praise the Lord that Katelyn will get to be a part of the Re-entry Retreat for missionary kids who have returned to the states. Even though she has been back two years she still thinks like a missionary kid and the things they talk about will be good for her to hear.

Thur. Aug. 7 Pray for Katelyn as she flies by herself to the Re-entry Retreat. Traveling alone is a new experience for her and can be a little frightening.

Praise God for 26 years of marriage. Pray that Dan and Pam will continue to grow in their love for each other especially now that it will be just the two of them on the field.

Fri. Aug. 8 Pray for Katelyn and the other MK’s at the Re-entry Retreat as they enjoy renewing old friendships and making new ones.

Sat. Aug. 9 Pray that the Re-entry Retreat will be a time of learning to cope in a culture that is different than what these missionary kids grew up in.

Sun. Aug. 10 Pray for safety for Katelyn as she flies back to Orlando, FL today.

Mon. Aug. 11 Pray for the Johnson’s as they travel back to Charleston, SC today.

Tues. Aug. 12 Pray for the Johnson’s as they begin the final preparations of getting Katelyn ready to head to school.

Wed. Aug. 13 Praise the Lord that Katelyn met several young ladies at the freshman orientation. Pray that they will develop a strong and lasting friendship over the years.

Thur. Aug. 14 Pray for a partnership that we are developing with James Island Baptist Church. Pray that both parties will have a good understanding of what God wants them to do.

Fri. Aug. 15 Pray for Dan, Pam and Katelyn as they travel to Aiken today.

Sat. Aug. 16 Pray for all of the students moving into the dorms at USCA today.

Sun. Aug. 17 Pray for Katelyn as she meets her roommate for the first time. Pray that God would put a kindred spirit between them and that they will hit it off right away.

Mon. Aug. 18 Praise the Lord for providing the funds for this semester.

Tues. Aug. 19 Pray for Dan and Pam as they say good-bye to Katelyn. It is never an easy thing to do but knowing that it will be for a long time makes it even harder.

Wed. Aug. 20 Pray for Katelyn as she attends her freshman convocation today that she will learn what she needs to know for this new adventure.

Thur. Aug. 21 Pray for Katelyn and Tim as they start school. Pray that they will do their best even when it is hard.

Fri. Aug. 22 Continue to pray that as Strategy Leader for the Maasai of Tanzania Dan will formulate the plan of action that God wants us to follow.

Sat. Aug. 23 Pray for the people groups in the Central/Western Tanzania Cluster that all will have the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Sun. Aug. 24 Continue to pray that Tim will find a church in Mount Pleasant where he can become an active member.

Mon. Aug. 25 Pray for Dan and Pam as they begin their final packing and sorting.

Tues. Aug. 26 Pray for Pam as she has her final visit with Dr. Hanna that all her blood work will be good.

Wed. Aug. 27 Pray that the people groups in Tanzania who are losing a missionary presence will thrive as we are “confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on until the day of Christ.” Philippians 1:6.

Thur. Aug. 28 Pray that the people groups in Tanzania being engaged for the first time will have hearts prepared to accept the gospel. Pray for persons of peace who will be willing to open up their homes and hearts to receive the good news of Jesus Christ.

Fri. Aug. 29 Pray for Pam as she has her final visit with Dr. Ramsey that he will give her a clean bill of health.

Sat. Aug. 30 Pray that the people groups in Tanzania still engaged will move towards a Church Planting Movement. 

Sun. Aug. 31 The Central/Western Tanzania Cluster is going through many personnel changes. Pray for your missionaries, as we go into new areas and people groups, to people who may never have heard the true story of the saving grace of our Lord.   Pray for those who are departing the field for medical reasons that God would be close to them and show them the way they should go.
