Old Fort Worship Ministry exists to worship the Almighty God of the Holy Bible. There is no other name worthy of our praise. Each week we unashamedly proclaim the Truth of God’s Word and encourage our people to engage in CORPORATE Worship on Sundays, while making time for PERSONAL worship during their week wherever and however God leads them.

Corporate Worship (Sunday’s 9:30 and 11:00 AM)

Sunday mornings are an exciting time here at Old Fort as our church family gathers together to worship our God. During our times of worship, our Pastor humbly teaches our family the Word of God, yet proclaims it boldly to encourage our worship to extend from our facilities walls. We share “Hands and Feet Testimonies” to share with each other what God has done in our lives while sharing opportunities for others to get involved. We also praise our God together through music lead by our various Worship Lead Teams and our Worship Choir.

On Sunday nights, the Children are engaged in the AWANA program, students are engaged in the APEX Student Ministry, and the adults are treated to a Bible Study led by our Pastor in the Worship Center. These programs all begin at 5:30 on site here at Old Fort.

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir of OFBC is called upon regularly to lead our family in times of worship as well as present special events throughout the year. The worship choir is open to all who have a heart to sing and worship our God! If you would like to be a part of the worship choir, contact Erik Shamblin for current choir information. When the choir is in season, rehearsal is from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday nights in the Worship Center. Being part of the worship Choir allows you to be a part of many other ministries: Lead Vocal Team, Lighthouse Singers, Adoration, etc. These opportunities are limitless as we share our voices together and allow for different ways to worship our God together through song.

Special events include, but are not limited to our Passion Play, around Easter each year, Patriotic Presentation around July 4th, and Christmas Presentation. These events provide much excitement throughout the year and help us celebrate the seasons.

Joy Singers


The Joy Singers choir consists of members of Old Fort that are 55 and older and enjoy sharing their praise of our Lord Jesus Christ to everyone! This choir shares regularly at Old Fort, but also travels to venues such as Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, as well as many others. See pictures of their performances here.

The choir would love to have you join them. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM in the Ministry Center Rehearsal Room.

Gathering Band

The Gathering Band is a contemporary arm of worship here at OFBC. This group of musicians comes together to regularly share at worship services as well as at special events throughout the year. If you are a musician and/or vocalist and are interested in knowing more about the Gathering Band, contact Erik at the office.

The Gathering Band recorded it’s first-ever LIVE album in the fall of 2009. This project will be available to our church family for donation of $10 beginning Feb. 2010.  Enjoy these snapshots of the night!

Lighthouse Singers

Originating from the Worship Choir, The Lighthouse Singers are a mixed-ensemble that lead in worship regularly at Old Fort, but also make themselves available to sing at other churches and venues. This group, led by Ron Smith, has a wonderful sound and loves to share the love and message of our Lord to others through music.

Worship Media Team

Perhaps your ministry is not to sing or play an instrument to lead others in worship. If you enjoy working with technology, like audio, video, and lighting, perhaps the Media Team is for you.

Each week, members of the WMT provide invaluable services at our corporate worship times as well as help provide audio and media support to all events that happen for the church family at OFBC. Presentation like the Passion Play and other special events require fully-staffed media teams to support them.

The Worship Ministry is making available audio CDs of messages by Dr. Lethco. Each Sunday, you can pick up a copy of the Pastor's message after the 11:00 AM service. It is an ideal way to take the love of Jesus beyond the church campus. In addition, Dr. Lethco has put together several message series that are available on CD.
