Prayer is a way you can effectively build His Kingdom on earth! You may not be able to go on a mission trip at this time, but you can definitely be praying for these partners and our teams we send to support them!
TANZANIA | WEST BALTIMORE | EAST BALTIMORE | DISASTER RELIEF
In 2010, the Lord led OFBC to partner with Dan and Pam Johnson, IMB missionaries to Tanzania, Africa. With a specific strategy in mind, OFBC sent several teams each year out into the bush of Africa to share the Gospel with those who have never heard the name of Jesus. Teamed with our missionaries and four Massai pastors, Mikaeli, Emanuel Saiteru, Emmanuel Laizer, and Moses. The outreach has literally seen thousands of people pray to receive Christ through using the story cloth.
One specific goal was to establish a church in Northern Tanzania where the Bible is taught and believers encouraged. With each trip to Tanzania, the Lord has used the teams to build His church. Today, a church is alive and well with a Massai pastor who loves the Lord and who is passionate about reaching lost souls in his community.
OFBC continues to send teams into the region focusing on discipleship and presenting the Gospel. The Johnsons have retired and moved back to the U.S. while OFBC continues to steadily build relationships with our four Massai pastors. Trips are taken twice a year, January and July.
WEST BALTIMORE - BROKEN WALL PROJECT
OFBC is partnered with The Broken Wall Community Church located in West Baltimore, MD. Broken Wall is a church plant from Send North America. Pastor Ron Willoughby leads a team of missionaries to reach their community for Christ through serving. The Broken Wall Community Church believes that the school is the hub of the community, and a natural gathering place for families. For this reason, they have committed to partnering with and investing their time and resources into one of their community’s schools, North Bend Elementary Middle School.
Find out more about The Broken Wall Community Church and how you can pray for our community in Baltimore by going to www.brokenwallproject.org. Specifically, we are asked to pray over their mission statement, their team, and the school and community.
EAST BALTIMORE - AGAPE PRAISE FELLOWSHIP
OFBC assists the local Screven Association with their support of Agape Praise Fellowship, a church planted in 2016 in East Baltimore. Members of OFBC and other area churches provide ministry assistance several times a year. For more information contact Bobby Bailey at email@example.com
OFBC is committed to going and helping whenever the need arises. From out-of-state tornadoes and floods to in-state hurricanes, we as a church hope to always be ready to come alongside and help those in need.
